For a limited period, Fluke is offering its Fluke 1507 Insulation Tester with a free, high quality, German-made, automatic wire stripper, capable of handling copper wires from 0.5mm2 to 6mm2.

The handheld Fluke 1507 has a 600V CAT IV safety rating, delivers multiple test voltages, provides low ohm measurement at 200mA, and features a test probe that enables one-handed insulation testing via a button on the probe handle, for convenient use in hard-to-reach places.

The rugged, compact Fluke 1507 Insulation Tester is designed for ease of operation by electricians and technicians for a wide range of electrical installation, troubleshooting, commissioning and preventive maintenance applications.

It provides insulation resistance testing up to 10 GigOhms, with five output voltages, at 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V and 1000V, and continuity testing at 200mA for rapid circuit testing. Using the remote test probe and an optional TPAK™ meter hanging kit, ISO testing is both safer and easier.

The Fluke 1507 is suited for insulation and continuity testing to BS7671 IEE 16th edition wiring regulations and also has a Compare (pass/fail) function designed to ease repetitive testing. For added user protection, alongside its 600V CAT IV overvoltage rating it is engineered to withstand voltage spikes of 8kV; insulation testing is disabled if it is connected to a live circuit with more than 30V; and after testing, it automatically discharges all capacitive charge from the equipment under test to help prevent accidental shocks.

The full Fluke line of insulation test instruments can be purchased from Fluke authorised distributors and wholesalers.
