Kew Technik sponsors Stourbridge College (10/08/2006)
The Kew Technik Group of Companies has announced a sponsorship agreement with The Advanced Technology Centre at Stourbridge College. The company will provide the college's Electrical Installation Department with a full range of Kew Technik electrician's tools and the Socket & See test instruments.
The college, that enjoys COVE (Centre of Vocational Excellence) accreditation, awarded by the Learning Skills Council, provides for some 300 students a year, part time, full time and evening courses for the electrical engineer of tomorrow. The students include apprentices from electrical contracting and manufacturing, mature adults, those with a serious electrical interest in DIY, and those who wish to make a career change.
Richard Penney, Managing Director, of the Kew Technik Group said, "I am delighted that we have been able to set up this sponsorship with the college, we have always held the view that the student of today is vitally important to us as he is the engineer of tomorrow. We are providing a complete range of easy to use tools and test instruments that conform with the latest safety standards."
Bob Howlett, Director, of the Advanced Technology Centre, at Stourbridge College said, "This sponsorship arrangement is an excellent opportunity to ensure our electrical students have access to the most up to date Industry standard equipment for use in their courses. Kew Technik is the type of organisation that Stourbridge College's Centre of Vocational Excellence strives to work with and I look forward to working with Kew Technik on the development of further sponsorship to more Colleges in the future."
