Fluke lauches two new kits for locating overheating electrical devices (12/01/2007)
Fluke is offering two new kits, containing a non-contact infrared thermometer, a choice of Clamp Meter or Voltage/Continuity/Current Tester and a Voltage Detector.
The kits are suited for electricians, HVAC technicians and plant and facility maintenance personnel for locating overheating electrical devices, then for troubleshooting the electrical fault. Both kits give a significany saving compared with the cost of buying the products separately.
The compact Fluke 62 non-contact IR thermometer in each kit measures temperatures from -30°C to +500°C with single trigger activation. Featuring a single-dot laser sighting system for accurate aiming, it is ideal for quick and reliable surface temperature readings of heating systems and rotating, electrically live, dangerously hot, or hard-to-reach objects at distances up to 1.5m.
The Fluke T5-600/62/1AC Kit includes a Fluke T5-600 Voltage, Continuity and Current Tester. With a 600V Category III safety rating, the OpenJaw technology body ensures easy and safe measurement of AC currents up to 100A without breaking the circuit. It measures voltages up to 600V AC/DC, resistance to 1000 ohms, and provides an audible continuity indicator.
The Fluke T5-62/322/1AC Kit includes a 600V Category III safety-rated Fluke 322 Clamp Meter, a compact and rugged tool which is ideally suited to measuring AC currents up to 400A, even in tight cable compartments: resolution is 0.01A up to 40A, then 0.1A beyond. It features a Display Hold button, Auto Shut-off and a low battery indicator. It also measures AC and DC voltages up to 600V, and resistance to 400 ohms.
Both kits contain a Fluke CAT IV 1000V safety-rated 1AC-II VoltAlert and come with a nylon carrying case.
