Louis Poulsen Lighting has launched two of its most popular lamps of the classic range – PH 3/2 table and pendant – in new, black chrome-plated versions.

Designed late in the 1920s, PH 3/2 table and pendant represent a highly decorative fixture series, which has, since its relaunch almost 10 years ago, enjoyed great demand. On the occasion of Poul Henningsen’s 100 anniversary, Louis Poulsen Lighting launched the PH 3/2 series in a burnished version, but it has since then only been available as our standard fixture – high-luster chrome-plated. The lamps are now available in new, black chrome-plated finish, which allows them to be used in even more settings.

The new black chrome-plated version displays a supreme graphical and distinct idiom, which will underpin the interior design of any environment. The fixtures may be used individually or supplement each other in settings calling for illumination with a warm glow. PH 3/2 in black chrome-plating is ideal for private homes, hotels and restaurants, in offices, receptions, conference and meeting rooms.

In manufacturing the PH 3/2 in black chrome-plating, Louis Poulsen Lighting always observes outstanding craftsmanship. The three shades are made from mouth-blown opal glass, polished on the outside and matt on the inside. The table fixture is 472mm high, the pendant 242mm. The largest shade of both versions measures Ø 286mm.

Having been updated to state-of-the-art technical standards, PH 3/2 in black chrome-plating differs very little from the original fixtures from the 1920s. The pendant is fitted with 1x75W A60 frosted E27 incandescent lamp. The table lamp is fitted with 1x40W D45 frosted E14.

Retail prices are as follows: Pendant £335.00 Table lamp £369.00
