Many people feel uneasy at the prospect of additional technology within their own four walls and of extensive installation works, and still shy away from the idea of treating themselves to the convenience of a house control system. The solution to this is an uncomplicated home control system using radio remote controls.

More and more people want to operate their home appliances by radio remote control, since this allows various devices in the house to be operated via a single remote control unit. Pleasant indoor air conditions and additional burglary protection with roller shutters that close automatically, and more home comfort due to remote control indoor and outdoor lighting - this is what many home owners would like.

House control using the Fernotron from Rademacher Geräte-Elektronik makes life easier: roller shutters open and close not only at the push of a button, but also completely automatically via timer programmes. Light-dependent controls via light sensors are also possible with this Rademacher product. These controls enable intense sunlight in summer and heat loss in winter to be avoided.

Besides roller shutters, however, lights and other electrical devices can also be operated fully automatically or at the convenient push of a button. Moreover, the Fernotron has random programmes that enable the roller shutters to be moved at different times each day. This makes even unoccupied houses appear lived-in during holiday periods.

Installation is carried out quickly and with practically no noise or mess. With the Fernotron, the switch commands are saved directly in the receiver. No further radio transmission is necessary unless switching times or settings are changed by the user. This reduces radio smog to an absolute minimum.

The Fernotron system is programmed using a convenient programming unit. All the most important information is summarised on the large display. All receivers - whether roller shutter drives or other devices - are programmed using the same control procedure. Receivers with the same switching times can also be grouped together.

Radio technology makes home control systems affordable, since the most costly and time-consuming element of conventional home control systems is usually the wiring that connects the controls to the different components. With the Fernotron, no control cables whatsoever need to be laid - the entire control system is wireless. In some cases even a connection between the radio receiver and the drive is not necessary: the Rademacher radio-controlled tubular motors have the Fernotron receivers and controls integrated in their housing.
