Moss Electrical relocates to Dartford

Moss Electrical Ltd is relocating to Dartford in Kent with a new distribution centre. The company has purchased a 150,000 Sq Ft warehouse called ‘Dartford Gateway’ from AXA REIM for £8 million. The move to the new facility will take place over the Christmas period.
Dartford Gateway will more than treble Moss Electrical’s storage capacity, adding a further improvement to the processing of large-scale orders. Moss will still stock the full range of advanced, state of the art products and accessories, as well as having the necessary resources in place to consider further product line expansion.
The company has operated from its current Canning Town distribution facility since it was established in 1994. It is now one of the largest single site, independent wholesalers in the UK with one of the most extensive stock profiles in the industry.
The new distribution facility will further enhance the UK operation with customers benefiting from even higher levels of service in terms of support and response, as Robert Moss, Managing Director explains:- “Our new warehousing and distribution facility will further improve operational efficiency and delivery schedules for all our new and existing customers. This huge investment is vital to keep up with present and future expansion in an industry which is becoming more and more demanding.”
Dartford Gateway has been given an extensive internal re-fit including the creation of a mezzanine floor within the main warehouse area for the storage of small parts. Moss Electrical’s new facility also features the latest innovations in call centre technology and design, allowing for effective team-orientated seating arrangements, improved client services and training facilities.

The high-profile, state of the art, fully refurbished Dartford Gateway is close to junction 1A of the M25 and sits on a self-contained 5 acre site on Sandpit Road. The facility satisfies the company’s short term goal of reducing lead times in the UK and will play a key role in the framework for continued business growth.
