Send your comments on the draft of the IEE Wiring Regulations 17th edition (07/02/2007)
The IEE Wiring Regulations are the national standard to which all commercial, domestic and industrial installations must conform.
BS 7671: 2008 Requirements for Electrical Installations (17th Edition) is to be issued on January 1st 2008 and is intended to come into effect on June 1st 2008. Installations designed after 1st June 2008 are to comply with BS 7671:2008. The actual has an expected publication date of January 2008.
This draft for public comment on BS 7671:2008 is based on IEC/CENELEC standards.
The new Draft for Public Comment includes numerous changes. The UK’s ability to change the requirements is limited, however within that constraint comments are welcome. You can send your comments at www.theiet.org/DPC.
