Energy brokers are being offered greater control and transparency with an innovative new online portal from business energy supplier Opus Energy, which is set to transform the tendering process.
The new portal allows energy brokers to track the entire tendering process easily and view real-time statuses online. Brokers are also able to request to re-quote and accept quotations via the portal, instead of using the traditional approach of phoning or emailing, making the process much more efficient.
Opus Energy’s latest innovation for its corporate customers has already gone through a pilot project to gain feedback to enhance its development. The success of the trial with energy brokers has resulted in plans for a series of portals aimed at the business energy supplier’s customers. The next portal is set to focus on giving all customers of all sizes the option of managing their accounts online, providing them with the flexibility to access information at a time that suits them.
Graham Cooke, Managing Director at energy broker Zenergi, says: “We were excited to be part of Opus Energy’s Broker Portal pilot and help to shape how ourselves and other consultants can best maximise this new initiative going forward. We found the information input and sense checking of data invaluable and in my opinion it certainly will save the Opus Energy and Zenergi teams a lot of time and emails. I am looking forward to seeing the proposed changes made and some of the other features appear when it goes live too.”
Michelle Tyreman, Business Development Manager at Opus Energy, says: “The benefits of using the portal to check on details such as quotes, instead of needing to contact a sales manager for an update, are instantly felt through time savings. We’re keen to give our brokers more control, and ultimately make their lives easier. ”
