Opus Energy shortlisted for Company of the Year award (18/10/2012)
Opus Energy has been shortlisted in the Company of the Year category at next month’s Growing Business Awards, which rewards world-class independent UK companies.
Run in association with Lloyds Bank, the Growing Business Awards are an established recognition of the UK's most innovative growing businesses. The Awards were launched in 1999 by Real Business, the UK's first magazine for entrepreneurs and growing businesses, and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), the UK's top business lobbying organisation.
Results will be decided by a panel of judges, and announced at a gala awards dinner at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, on November 27th.
Charlie Crossley Cooke, Managing Director, Opus Energy, commented: “Operating in a sector that’s dominated by six giant energy companies, we feel that recognition of our achievements is well-deserved. By offering a real alternative to business energy buyers, we’ve seen continued growth over the last 10 years with our turnover increasing for 2011/12 by 38% to £272 million.”
