PowerLogic EGX400 Ethernet Gateway offers direct access to energy management information

The new PowerLogic EGX400 Ethernet Gateway from Merlin Gerin offers direct access to utility consumption and other energy management information, using existing network infrastructure, operated via a web browser. Data metering and equipment monitoring, be it for a single building or multi-site network, has never been so easy, effectively providing out of the box energy management.
The EGX400 is simple and quick to set up. Once the IP address is set, the unit can be configured using the web page generator that accompanies the EGX400. Creating an Energy Management system is as simple as tuning your TV.
The unit is easy to use: anyone can view information on the web browser. Security is provided by password protection for three profiles and an administrator. Firmware is upgradeable using FTP through the PowerLogic web site.
The PowerLogic EGX400 offers monitoring for up to 62 unique devices using an existing LAN infrastructure at 10 or 100 megabits/second, with RS485 Ethernet or fibre connectivity. This eliminates bottlenecks by moving data at the same network speed in the LAN.
The EGX400 can continuously log over a month’s worth of 15-minute interval data. Historical data can be presented in a time trend plot with zoom facility and log data can be exported via copy and paste to Microsoft pages. The gateway can also be easily configured to distribute logged data to a user defined e-mail address list to a pre-defined schedule.
Other features include a working temperature tolerance from –30 to +80 ºC, low power consumption from the plug in power supply included (maximum burden 8 Watts), small size and weight (0.7Kg) and flexible mounting (DIN rail, panel/wall mount or tabletop).
