Mita houses cabling and wiring throughout the new Communications Centre for North Wales Police (15/06/2006)
Located at the St Asaph Business Park in North Wales, the police communications centre has been designed and built to provide a high quality, centralised service to replace call handling previously administered from three separate Area Control Rooms. It forms a key part of the Force’s commitment to achieving a safer North Wales by improving police communications and delivering a high quality call-handling service to the general public through a single point of contact.
Wiring and cabling in the main call centre communications room is fed via an underfloor distribution system, with underfloor powertrack feeding floor-mounted outlet boxes. The system provides maximum flexibility enabling layouts to be changed rapidly and easily, accommodating future network expansion.
Cabling and wiring throughout the new Communications Centre for North Wales Police now nearing completion at St Asaph, is housed in cable management products manufactured by Mita.
Mains-power and data-communications wiring and cabling in general office are contained in Mita’s latest 2-compartment, Cableline Ultra 60 dado perimeter trunking. With dimensions of 190 x 62mm, Ultra 60 has a dedicated 75x62mm data compartment which can provide secure segregated containment and protection for the sensitive, high-bandwidth, high speed data-communications cabling.
Supplied by Round Deakin Electrical Wholesalers and installed by contractors Lloyd Morris Electrical, Ultra 60 can hold up to 48 Cat 6 cables, whilst standard fittings provide for a 50mm minimum bend radius.
