Newey and Eyre revealed as the top performing UK distributor (09/11/2009)
The latest independent report by BSRIA was recently commissioned by 16 of the UK’s most influential M&E contractors in order to gauge a greater insight into the performance of key suppliers within the mechanical and electrical sectors. According to the new survey, Newey & Eyre has been revealed as the UK’s top performing distributor for providing an added value service to the large contracting market.
Focusing on the lighting category, distributors and manufacturers were evaluated against a tough criteria of key performance indicators (KPIs), covering everything from performance to specification, the provision of technical information and lighting design.
Widely considered the key requirement of any distributor, Newey & Eyre outperformed all others in the ‘added value’ category, receiving the highest score from respondents, with a substantial third scoring a ‘perfect ten’. As further testament to the company’s service levels, an additional third also commended Newey & Eyre branches and their approach to project management as excellent.
Chris Gibson, sales director at Newey & Eyre comments: “This extremely positive feedback clearly demonstrates how much we have progressed as a business over recent years. The daily demands of the modern building environment mean that larger contracts can be a major challenge and require the electrical wholesaler to clearly demonstrate added value and help customers to mitigate their risk and costs. Recognising this, we have invested significant resources into perfecting our project capabilities, in order to go far beyond the traditional remit of the electrical wholesaler and provide an exceptional service, which can really add value for the customer and ultimately their clients.
“We pride ourselves on our unrivalled ability when it comes to larger contracts and it is fantastic to receive recognition for this. It is a great credit to our teams in the branches whose focus and skills have delivered these consistent levels of high performance and I am confident we will be receiving more ‘perfect tens’ going forward.”
