JCC Lighting showcases low energy lighting products at Interbuild 2009
(22/09/2009)
Interbuild 2009 takes place at NEC, Birmingham and is the leading construction industry show for the UK. JCC Lighting will be exhibiting at the Interbuild show this year for the first time. In addition to exhibiting a selection of their energy efficient products, JCC is also sponsoring individual buildings on ‘Sustainability Street’ built within the centre of the exhibition.
Sustainability Street will allow visitors to see a number of energy efficient JCC lighting products installed in a series of life-size buildings throughout the street. One of these is the ErgoHome, which is described as a “new dwelling concept”.
This structure features a variety of JCC luminaires, highlighting the broad range of lighting possibilities available within a sustainable environment. Products include the Fireguard fire-rated downlight, Paris low energy pendants, Brescia ceramic uplights, bathroom mirror lights and outdoor surface wall lights to complement this affordable and sustainable home design solution.
JCC is also providing lighting within ‘The Intelligent Building’, which is a collaborative project at the heart of the street. This innovative two-storey building illustrates how technological innovations can make living and work spaces operate intelligently. Imaginative lighting will feature throughout this building including recessed and wall lighting, as well as dimmable downlights and adjustable picture lights. LED lighting will feature throughout as both decorative and functional answers to energy efficiency and the appropriate use of light.
The ‘Central Frame Station’ is another unique building within the exhibition, constructed by Light Gauge Steel Framing (LGSF). Here, JCC will demonstrate energy efficient lighting offered specifically for the commercial market. The station will show yet another side to JCC’s capabilities with high bay pendants lighting the upper floor and a range of energy efficient luminaires lighting various ground floor areas.
JCC’s own stand is located within the ‘Building Schools for the Future’ (BSF) section where a wide range of low energy lighting for both interior and exterior applications will be on show. These include the latest products from the Fireguard range, Coral Matrix, the contemporary Diaz I, Aztek LED spotlights, as well as low energy outdoor bollards and wall lights for both commercial and domestic use.
Nina Elliot-Newman, Marketing & Communications Manager for JCC, said; “Interbuild 2009 is the essential exhibition for the construction industry and JCC is very pleased to be involved this year. The past few months have been challenging for the industry, but at JCC we continue to drive innovation through advanced technology to offer our customers the latest in practical, low energy design. We have developed thousands of products for all applications, and this exhibition gives us the opportunity to showcase just a snapshot of what is available.”
