Borri UK introduces online purchasing system (07/09/2009)
Borri UK is to undergo some major online changes, by introducing an online purchasing system to their website. The online purchasing system will go live on the 7th of September, and is expected to massively boost Borri’s online presence. Since the launch of Borri’s UK website in June 2009, the website has shown rapid growth, with visitor numbers steadily rising.
The e-commerce page will have a number of facilities, including a referral system that will inform buyers of potential items linked to the product they are viewing. This tool hasn’t been used in the UPS market before, and Borri hope this will help them attract business. The products will range from 500VA to 10kVA; however more powerful equipment will be available through a quick enquiry system.
Borri formally known as AEC power control had many successes with their original AEC website, and hope the inclusion of e-commerce can greatly improve the popularity of the new Borri website. Online purchasing has been the norm for a number of years now, with some of the largest global organisations been entirely online based.
Borri also plan to revamp the telecoms website, which used to be AEC-telepower.com, with aims to make it more competitive. With the design stage almost complete, the company is confident that the website will be launched by November. The IT and telecoms account manager said “the launch of the new website in the next couple of months will revolutionise the quoting and selling of UPS's within the IT & Telecoms Industry. This tool will enable resellers to access our vast database of information allowing them to easily build a UPS to suit their customer’s environment.”
With these two developments Borri feel they are making large steps towards their online goals. Over the coming months Borri are planning more online changes to further boost their online capabilities.
