DCET Training, an Exeter based training provider will unveil its new brand identity as well as a new electrical training course at the South West’s largest ever electro-technical trade show when it comes to Westpoint Arena in Exeter next week (Thursday 30 April 2009).

DCET Training will not only launch its new corporate identity at Elex 2009, but also a new higher professional diploma specifically designed for qualified electricians.

The 14 year old company, which was previously trading as Devon & Cornwall Electrical Training, is embarking on the re-brand to better reflect its expanding range of training courses which are delivered throughout the wider South West region and UK.

David Bassett, managing director of DCET Training said: “We are all very pleased with our revised name and new look. Many within the industry have always referred to us as DCET anyway, so the name simply sits more comfortably with how stakeholders see us.

“The timing couldn’t be better for us to showcase both the new brand identity and our new level 4 Higher Professional Diploma. Elex 2009 will be the largest show for professional electricians the region has ever seen, so it presents the perfect opportunity for us to engage with hundreds of local electricians to discuss their training and development needs.”

As part of the re-branding exercise, DCET Training will also launch a new website within the next month.

The company’s new level 4 Higher Professional Diploma is a two year, day release course which will run from its training centre on Matford Business Park from September. DCET will also be offering discounts on short courses whilst at the free show next week.

David concluded: “It is important that businesses within the industry keep their knowledge and skills constantly refreshed and updated because an under-skilled workforce will not be in a position to capitalise on the opportunities of a recovering economy when it eventually arrives.”
