Habia Cable has announced a substantial investment in its Chinese cable manufacturing facility. Located in Changzhou the facility is mainly geared to producing high performance co-axial cables for the communications market.

The recent investment of 622 Million Swedish Kronor will drastically increase Habia’s capacity to offer low loss flexible co-axial cables based on a foamed PE (polyethylene) dielectric. In particular it will help to develop the following product ranges:

- Speedfoam: A low loss, flexible, cost effective co-axial cable, often used as an equivalent to LMR series of products.

- Speedflex: Using a foamed PE dielectric to achieve the same dimensions and electrical performance as PTFE based RG cables but completely LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)

Habia Cable’s Henrik Ollandt, VP for RF & Communication products today said “The communications market is critical to the success of Habia Cable. As the market demands better and better performance we see an increasing demand for Habia’s high quality yet cost effective solutions”.

Habia Cable is a Swedish company, part of the Beijer Alma group of companies.
