Natuzzi is the world’s leading manufacturer of leather sofas and Italy’s largest furniture producer. The group has its headquarters in Santeramo in Colle, Southern Italy. It has two sales offices in China and the USA and is well represented in exclusive stores and galleries throughout the world.

For the showroom of the new Natuzzi concept store in Milan, which will act as a pilot project for upgrades to outlets throughout the world, the lighting had to present the high-quality furniture and accessories in the best possible light.

The lighting designers chose innovative HALOSPOT 111 IRC halogen lamps from OSRAM because they meet the stringent demands of Natuzzi with brilliant clarity. They bathe the furniture in strong bright light with excellent natural color rendering, yet emit so little heat that the high-quality fabrics and materials do not suffer and there is very little bleaching.

HALOSPOT 111 IRC lamps also have exceptionally low power consumption compared with other halogen lamps and a long average life of 4000 hours. Cost savings of up to 48% are possible by comparison with conventional HALOSPOT 111 lamps.

The joint Milan project organized by Natuzzi and OSRAM was so successful that it will be the pilot for all Natuzzi stores throughout the world. In April 2007 20,000 HALOSPOT 111 IRC lamps in 35, 50 and 65 W versions, both FLOOD and SPOT types, were in use. By the end of 2007 this figure will be 25,000.
